Default Customizable Guild Lord and Henchies?

I was thinking about this for a second. Wouldn't it be neat if a guild leader could customize the guild henchies and the lord?

For the Henchies:
It would be cool if you could build customizable guild henchies from different models and races, choose their primary profession, secondary, and looks/armor, and skills. This could be done maybe through the guild lord's services under "Hire Henchman" or maybe you could buy a guild recruiter for you hall for 50k that gives you customizable henchman options including the ability to make interracial henchies like Tengu, Char, or even Centaurs and so forth. This would all be for a fee of course. The custom henchies could be used for any GvG battle or if you like you can manually add their names outside of the guild hall in PvE anytime to add them to your group. Of course only members of your guild/alliance would be able to use them. To customize your henchies skills just talk to him/her while in the hall. This idea can be hugely expanded, allow killing certain enemy bosses to unlock new race models for you henchies or different armor patterns. Maybe you could even buy and give weapons to your henchies to make them stronger.

For the Guild Lord:
It would be cool to be able to change his armor and looks, (I.e. Ascalon Lord, Eternal Lord/Ghostly Hero, Canthan Lord, etc..)

I don't know if this has been brought up before, (how could it not have been?) but I like the sound of it. Gold sink ftw.

Although this isn't something I see being implemented, at least having different guild lords and henchies for the Kurzick/Luxons would be a start. (maybe they already have those..?)

I dont know about fully customizable hench. It probably depends on how the hench AI is done. If possible it would be good.

At the very least they should give us more options like in some factions cities where you can pick from more than 10 or 15 different hench.

yes.. /sign of course.

need more "interaction" with a guild lord (have him hang with you while in Guild Hall or something. Never really get why your Lord is a ghost....

/signed 100% for guild lord....as for henchies, it may get a little out of hand, so I'd suggest you can choose any henchie in the game as henchies.

For discussing this idea, I'll break it into two sections:

- Customising the lords/henchs/NPCs looks
- Customising their actual stats (stats include, but aren't limited to, weapons; skills; attributes; armor)

For customising the looks, I have no problem with that as it won't change gameplay. As for charging for it, removing gold from the game reduces prices for everyone, so optional goldsinks are good and this would only be an optional goldsink.

As for changing their stats, depending on the stats chosen it would effect gameplay a lot. Since you are talking about changing the gameplay for PvP changing the stats for a fee would force the PvPers to farm just so that they can compete. Therefore charging to change the stats would be a bad idea.

Also, the AI gives the henchmen advantages in some areas, but disadvantages in others. For instance the domination henchs reflexes are so so good that he can interupt almost anything (I've heard of him interupting ROF's, which is a 1/4 second cast), even if the henchmen are generally stupid. If you allow unlimited customisation of the henchs, people will make henchmen that will make any caster useless as they power block everyone. But I would like to see some variaty in the NPC's in a guild hall.

So what I would suggest is that ANET adds more henchmen to the hall for you to chose from and when you start arranging a GvG you get a dialog that asks which of the preset builds you want for the guild lord, the archers, the footmen and the bodyguards.
